"The Truth About Statins"
Cholesterol is NOT the cause of arteriosclerosis or atherosclerotic
plaqueing. There is not one study that exists that has been able to directly
connect cholesterol to heart disease. Not one! The condition of
atherosclerotic plaqueing is due to the oxidation of the lipid layer in the
vessel walls. This is caused by the overconsumtion of omega 6 fatty acids.
The oxidation of the lipids in vessels walls results in inflammation that
damages the vessel wall and enables debris to adhere to it, resulting in
restriction of blood flow to the heart and brain.
These omega 6 fatty acids are cheap and unstable and many are rancid to
begin with. Thus they oxidize readilty when exposed to heat. Processed food
sources are very high in omega-6 fatty acids such as CORN OIL, SUNFLOWER
OIL, SOYBEAN OIL, SAFFLOWER OIL, CANOLA OIL, COTTENSEED OIL and several
other related oils. These are the very oils that are being portrayed as
"heart healthy" oils. Stay away from these oils!
I recommend that you use OLIVE OIL, BUTTER, and COCONUT oil and that's it as
far as cooking is concerned. Try a little curcumin (tumeric) mixed in with
your olive or coconut oil. It's a very powerful anti-inflammatory.
What do statin drugs do. Very little as far as your health benefits are
concerned. They cause muscle wasting, nerve damage, brain deterioration due
to depriving the brain of cholsterol, and depletion of Coenzyme Q 10.
Depletion of Coenzyme Q 10 can cause congestive heart failure.
